electrical properties

At usual temperatures, the SIMAX glass is a non-conducting material - it is an insulant.

• specific resistance in damp-proof medium (20 °C) higher than

• permittivity ε (20 °C, 1 MHz)

• loss angle tg δ (20 °C, 1 MHz)

1013–1015 Ω.cm

= 4,9 . 10-3

  • specific resistance in damp-roof medium (20 °C) higher than 1013–1015 Ω.cm
  • permittivity ε (20 °C, 1 MHz) = 4,6
  • loss angle tg δ (20 °C, 1 MHz)
    = 4,9 . 10-3

The electric losses increase sharply with rising temperature and they change with frequency.
